About us

 

We are a family-owned business that have lived the country life for the past 5 years. We initially were inspired with the idea of living a simple self-sufficient lifestyle from visiting Alaska in 2016 with our two boys. So we came back home to Florida bought 10 acres and started a farm. We quickly learned this lifestyle was anything but simple but could be very rewarding. However, we also learned you can’t always take the city life out of the farm life. Especially when it comes to enjoying the luxury of quality items and fine dining!

 

In 2022, my wife and I visited Alaska once again. We spent 5 weeks traveling all over Alaska wanting to experience as much of the state as we could. We went on 3 fishing charters, took a helicopter to an ice glacier and rode on a dog sled, we hiked to another ice glacier and climbed/ repelled it, we went on an unplanned bear hunt with a local native, we camped and hiked in Denali National Park where we encountered a 1000 pound Grizzly bear and we concluded our trip by bringing home a 6 week old Alaskan Malamute puppy, that, of course, we named Denali.

 

With all this being said, as much as it was an epic adventure my wife had a revelation while we were there. Looking at me while hiking, completely dressed from head to toe in the best quality hiking clothes I could find, sporting my full beard while wearing my Prada sunglasses, she said, “ Babe, you are a Bougie Mountain Man. You love the outdoors but you also love being in style.” She thought I was very unique because of this but then the more we spoke with friends and family we realized many others felt the same way. Many love the conveniences of city life including high-quality items and enjoy a fine dining experience but then also like the idea of getting out in nature to breathe the fresh air, be active and enjoy the wildlife.
